These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the EMT Adaptive Prep website, applications, and services (collectively, the "Service") operated by EMT Adaptive Prep ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or legal guardian's permission to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements and that all registration information you submit is accurate and truthful.
2. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to safeguard your account.
3. Subscriptions and Billing
Access to certain features of the Service requires a paid subscription. Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing cycle at the then-current rate unless canceled before renewal. You can cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. We may change subscription pricing with reasonable notice; changes will not take effect until the next renewal.
4. Educational Use Only — No Medical Advice
The Service provides exam preparation content for the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) cognitive exam. All content is for educational purposes only. It is not medical advice, does not establish a clinician-patient relationship, and must not be used to diagnose or treat any patient or condition. Always rely on your training, local protocols, medical direction, and current evidence-based guidelines when providing patient care.
5. No Affiliation with NREMT
EMT Adaptive Prep is an independent study platform. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians. "NREMT" and related marks belong to their respective owners. We make no guarantee that you will pass the NREMT or any other certification exam.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Copy, redistribute, sell, or publish any questions, explanations, or other content from the Service
- Share your account or grant access to anyone else
- Use any automated tool, scraper, or bot to access the Service
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
- Interfere with the security or integrity of the Service or its users
- Use the Service in violation of any applicable law or regulation
7. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of the Service — including questions, explanations, flashcards, cheatsheets, software, text, graphics, and design — are the exclusive property of EMT Adaptive Prep or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial study.
8. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT IT WILL RESULT IN YOU PASSING ANY EXAM.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EMT ADAPTIVE PREP AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent changes. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which EMT Adaptive Prep is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts of that jurisdiction.
